Where is the Furbowl?

Foxville Furbowl is located at Suburbanite Bowl in Westmont, IL.
201 W. Ogden Avenue
Westmont, IL 60559

Suburbanite Bowl is a 1.3 mile walk from the Westmont Metra Station (BNSF line). There is a parking lot on-site. If you will be using a mobility aid, we recommend parking on the east side (left hand side, if you were looking at the building from the street), as the east entrance has a ramp and the west entrance does not.

Can I wear my fursuit? Can I change on-site?

Yes, absolutely. The Foxville Furbowl is fursuit friendly, and we have a private changing area for attendees. That said, please be prepared for a wait. We suggest arriving early for check-in and time to change into your fursuit. You are welcome to partial, “poodle”, wear only a tail, or come in your regular, everyday clothes, as well.

Can I come if I’m under 18?

Yes, with the Guardian Consent Form printed and brought to the meet. Attendees under the age of 18 must have a permission form completed, attendees under 16 must also have a legal guardian present at all times in order to attend.

Guardians: we are not babysitters; when we say “present at all times”, we do mean that you must be in the vicinity and monitoring your attendee. You are solely responsible for your attendee’s behavior and safety.

While we strive to keep the event friendly to people of all ages, remember that this event is hosted at a public bowling alley; other patrons of the alley will be present and in the same general area as our private event, and alcohol is served on-site.

What is the cost to attend? How and when do I pay?

Registration costs are as follows:

  • $25, bowling with shoe rental
  • $20, bowling, bringing your own shoes
  • $15, attending only

Payment may be sent via Zelle, or in cash the day of.

Do I have to pre-register?

We do welcome walk-ins, however, pre-reg allows us to plan most effectively for the number of people in attendance and covers our up-front costs, so if you are intending on attending, please register ahead of time!

Can I get a group rate?

No, we already are a group. The cost of admission is based on the group rate we are able to secure with the venue.

Do we get badges? Do I have to wear it?

Foxville Staff wear distinctive badges to help attendees and guardians identify us, but we do not supply badges for attendees. In lieu of badges, attendees are provided a color-coded wristband. Wristbands must be worn at all times for the duration of the event.

Wristbands tell staff that you’ve registered, paid, and are ready to go have fun, as well as tell us if you have a guardian on-site and whether or not you are bowling or only attending.

What can I bring? What can I not bring?

The following items are not permitted:

  • Weapons, including realistic looking replicas or props, explosives, or any other tool of violence
  • Drug paraphernalia, narcotics, or illegal substances
    • Except those prescribed and used in accordance with prescription instructions
  • Live animals (except service animals/service animals in training)
  • Excessively loud or obnoxious devices (bullhorns/megaphones, air horns, etc.)
  • Music equipment, including instruments, boomboxes, speakers, etc.
  • Kink gear, including pup hoods.
    • Harnesses and collars are permitted, so long as they are tactful and “suit your suit”. We understand that harnesses and collars can be worn for fashion and as a costume piece to accent your fursona. Use good sense; remember that this a public venue, expect that children will be present, and dress accordingly. Any costume pieces that are deemed unacceptable will need to be removed on staff request.

You may bring:

  • Backpacks and bags (please be ready to have them inspected by staff)
  • Cameras
    • Photos and videos captured at the event may not be used for commercial purposes, save for those taken by Foxville Furbowl or Suburbanite Bowl staff.

    • Do not use flash or disturb other guests of the bowling alley.
  • Your own bowling equipment (shoes, ball, etc.)
  • Costume pieces to accompany your fursuit, so long as they are not excessively large and adhere to the Code of Conduct

Can I sell/advertise/take commissions?

Soliciting is not permitted, however, if being a fursuit maker or artist comes up naturally in conversation, you may give someone your contact info to discuss commissions, artwork, etc. at a later time. That said, don’t be pushy or try to cram it into conversations; misuse of this policy will result in a change to this policy!

I have a disability, what can I expect?

Foxville Furbowl takes accessibility seriously. If you require accommodations, please inform the staff as early as possible so that we can do everything in our power to make your experience accessible and fun. We can be reached at FoxvilleFurbowl@gmail.com. The venue is wheelchair accessible, and staff will be happy to help in whatever way we can to ensure that you are able to safely and fully enjoy the Furbowl.

We welcome service animals and service animals in training (SA/SAiT), in accordance with state and federal laws. Neither the event nor the venue permit emotional support animals, therapy pets, or other animals who do not meet the definition of a SA/SAiT. A service animal is defined as an animal (domestic dog or miniature horse) that is “individually trained to perform work or tasks for people with disabilities” [ADA Revised Requirements: Service Animals]. They are not pets, and attendees will be expected to respect service animals and service animals in training.

Likewise, handlers are expected to have their assistant under control at all times. If at any point your SA/SAiT is not under control, we expect you to take immediate action, and to remove them if necessary. This means housebroken, not barking (except as part of a trained task), not pestering or approaching other attendees, and leashed, harnessed, and/or under verbal control if your disability does not permit the use of a leash.
